Luc Van der Biest was born on November 29th 1956 in Aalst , Belgium. I still live there , together with my wife Martine. We have 3 sons ; Maarten , Bram and Jonas and 3 grandchildren ; Sander , Quinten and Elise.

Since a number of years, I has invested quite some time in Photography. I use Nikon material , and I am especially interested in animals and birds. Countries visited include trips to  Kenia, Tanzania, South Africa, Botswana , Gambia , Ethiopia , Mauritius , Madagascar , Uganda , Namibia in Africa ; Peru , Costa Rica , Ecuador , Galapagos and Argentina in South - America ; Thailand , China and Japan in Asia and the USA and Canada in America.
